Pamper yourself with the basics.
With so much information about skincare, it’s hard to know what products to choose and when and how to use them.
And let’s face it, some of us just aren’t that interested in spending a lot of time with complicated skincare routines.
If that’s you then you’ll be better off investing in a regular facial instead of products that will sit in the cupboard and make you feel guilty for not using them!
But if you would like to take care of your skin and don’t know where to start, then I have a simple solution for you.
I’ve put together a basic routine for morning and evening that will only take a few minutes. If you want to pamper yourself, then spend a bit longer on each step and add a mask at the end.
Remember, keep it simple and do it regularly!
If you have skincare products sitting in the cupboard use them - they work better when you do!
It’s the routine that’s important, but the better quality your products are the better the result you’ll get.

Follow these 5 skincare steps to create a daily routine and you’ll start to see results.
Step 1: Cleanse | morning and evening
A gentle cleanser removes debris, oil, and makeup, as rinsing with water is not enough to cleanse your skin. Clean skin allows your products to absorb deeply and evenly. Gently cleanse your skin once in the morning and twice in the evening, removing the cleanser with a warm face cloth. The first cleanse removes your makeup and the second cleans your skin.
Step 2: Exfoliate | 3 x weekly
Exfoliants gently remove built-up dead skin for smoother, noticeably renewed skin. Use 3 times a week morning or evening, after cleansing.
Step 3: Tone | morning and evening
Gently wipe your skin with a cotton pad soaked in Toning Mist after cleansing. This removes any last traces of makeup and prepares your skin for serums and elixirs. Toning Mist can also be used throughout your day as a refreshing ‘spritz’ to hydrate, refresh, and revitalise your face - especially during the cooler months when heating dries your skin.
Step 4a: Nourish | morning
Applying a hydrating, nourishing serum daily helps to protect your skin from environmental damage (UV, dryness, pollution). It also helps to smooth and plump your skin, helping to minimise the look of fine lines.
Step 4b: Nourish | evening
Our bodies repair themselves while we sleep so it’s important that your night elixir contains active ingredients to support skin renewal and collagen production. Oil-based elixirs are perfect for the evening.
Step 5: Protect | morning
Moisturising creams are emollients that ‘seal’ moisture and nutrients into your skin and help to provide a protective barrier from environmental damage. They also help to smooth your skin’s surface, giving you a base for applying your makeup.
Used daily, moisturisers help to keep your skin feeling smooth, plumped and soft.
A regular daily skincare routine combined with a professional facial every 4-6 weeks (minimum 4 x year, with each seasonal change) will help give you radiant, smoother, and younger-looking skin.
